Paper Jane are the “Succulent Chinese Meal” of Melbourne Americana. An original Central Victorian Americana band originating just down the road from Heathcote in Riddells Creek, feature wooden sonic tones and fragile unprocessed voices. Theirs are songs of Australian stories & life beyond the happy ending, from an era when songs weren’t rolled in tinsel.

Paper Jane play honest, analogue roots music. Frontman Buck Edwards teams up with fretless bassman Dom Redfern, drummer Michaela Burke and gypsy fiddle genius Scotty Jansen completing the line up.

In 2012, Paper Jane released their debut album ‘First Morning Song’ to full page reviews in The Age and Sydney Morning Herald. The following year they were unearthed by Triple J winning over audiences with their blend of ‘north of the river blues’ and ‘south of the border gospel’, 

Featured on the International Americana Music Show's best of 2020, Paper Jane continue to win acclaim with a shortlist for 'Best Regional Act in the Music Victoria Awards 2021 going onto release their second longplayer 'Across the Reservoir' in 2020.
